Course In Home Sustainability Assessment
This new course - developed in consultation with Sustainability Victoria - is an accredited program designed to provide students with the ability to undertake assessments of residential properties and make recommendations to improve domestic sustainability. The main areas addressed include - energy consumption, water usage, the garden and environs, waste and recycling, customer service and workplace safety. The course is essential for those considering a career in home sustainability assessment, tradespeople wishing to update their skills and local government/council and utility companies seeking to offer home assessment services. Home sustainability assessment is a new and burgeoning industry with rich employment opportunities. Course cost includes excursion costs, three guest speakers and student notes. This course runs for 80 hours in total, 63 are face to face and 17 students dedicate to develop assignments outside of the classroom. (Note: No Classes on Saturday June 6)
